She was born on June 1st, 1926 in Los Angeles. Her name was Norma Jeane Mortenson.
After spending most of her childhood in foster homes,Norma began her career as a model. In 1946 she signed a film contract with Twentieth Century Fox. There she started her film career. The film Gentlemen prefer Blondes, in which she sings her
famous song `Diamonds are a girl's best friend´ made her famous.
She recieved a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Some like it hot. There we're many other great film like
'The seven year itch' where her white dress blows up from
the air of a subway grating.
She died on August 5th 1962. Many theories, including murder, circulated about the circumstances of her death and the timeline after the body was found. Some conspiracy theories involved John and Robert Kennedy, while other theories suggested CIA or Mafia complicity. It was reported that President Kennedy was the last person Monroe called.
